Speak Out!!
More and more survivors are speaking out about their encounters with abuse. Speaking out allows you to realize you are not alone and find the support to heal. It allows others to realize there is a problem and it is not ok.
It can no longer go hidden behind locked doors and drawn curtains. If you've never spoken out, then please find the strength and courage to do so. Even if the abuse happened years ago and you still feel the torment, please, Speak out. Find help. Find others who have shared your experience.
It is important that if you feel you are in an abusive relationship please seek
out help. Find a pastor, a teacher, a police officer, a neighbor, any one who
will listen. Check your local yellow pages for shelters, police, lawyers and
other support; or search online by simply searching "abuse support". There are
people who will listen, and you can overcome.
